I am a New York-based artist who uses performance, painting, photography and whatever else i can think of to explore to explore contemporary forms of communication and expression. I earned my BFA at the School of Visual Arts and my MVA at the Australian National University.

I believe that my role as an artist is to attempt to make sense of the images, sounds and text we are bombarded with daily at a rapid pace. I am interested in exploring the role the internet and social media play in our lives. Do our interactions online mean anything? I intend for my work to serve as monuments to the intangible aspect of our digital existence -- whether it is the angst we feel as a YouTube video struggles to buffer, our amateur attempts at establishing a web-presence, or the dual nature of Facebook, the tool that enables millions of people to organize in protest but also serves as a mirror of our sense of isolation and narcissism. Over the course of the last three years I examined the role social media plays in post-revolutionary Egypt, where apps like tinder can become weapons of military brutality, and You Tube is the sole avenue for creative expression. At the core of my artistic practice is an examination of human fragility, and an attempt to understand how vulnerability guides our actions and creations.
